On 23 December, a new CPV Food Complex Project on fully integrated exporting chicken was held by CPV Food Co. Ltd, a subsidiary of C.P Vietnam Corporation.
This is the largest complex for breeding and processing chicken for export in Southeast Asia.
C.P Vietnam realises its investment commitment to build CPV Food Binh Phuoc export chicken processing plant complex, which contributes to the economic development of the province and local people. This complex has an initial investment capital of US$250 million with an annual production capacity of 100 million broilers by 2023.
The new complex not only meets domestic demand but also for the export market as it provides high quality chicken meat products in addition to its strict safety standards. It has estimated its export market to be Japan (45%), Europe (35%), rest of Asia (10%) and Middle East (10%).
This mega project is expected to bring in yearly foreign exchange of US$100 million in stage 1 and US$200 million in stage 2.
CPV Food Binh Phuoc Complex Project complies with 100% traceability of the entire supply chain from the ingredients to the processed products, and synchronous solutions for the environment and animal welfare all met the strict criteria by the importing countries. The project is divided into 2 stages. In stage 1 (2019–2023), it is implemented on 6 locals of Binh Phuoc province, including Dong Xoai city, Binh Long town, Dong Phu district, Chon Thanh district Hon Quan district, and Bu Dang district with the scale of 50 million animals per year. The capacity of stage 2 will be increased up to 100 million broilers/year. The 5 districts of Binh Phuoc province are going to be recognised as the first Disease Safety Zone in Vietnam by the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).
The mega complex utilises advanced 4.0 technology, artificial intelligence, and big data in the management and production to ensure high quality and productivity. This also solidifies Vietnam position as a major supplier of quality poultry products to the international market.
