Vietnam’s leading dairy producer, Vinamilk has recently signed a strategic partnership with 6 leading global nutrition groups from Switzerland, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Sweden, and Japan. They are DSM Nutritional AG, Chr. Hansen Holding A/S, BENEO GmbH, Gnosis, AAK Foodservice and Kanematsu Corporation.
These companies have pledged to collaborate with Vinamilk by sharing breakthrough technologies and helping the latter apply new nutrition studies to formula milk products for children.
Nguyen Quoc Khanh, Executive Director of Vinamilk emphasised that the company aims for high standards in product research and development, and this had led to the decision for the strategic international cooperation with these companies.
Vinamilk also partners with companies that support sustainability goals. They do not use ingredients that are harmful to public health and the living environment. Vinamilk CEO Mai Kieu Lien said, “Vinamilk has ceaselessly invested in modern production processes, employed advanced scientific research, and boosted international cooperation to provide products meeting international standards and suitable for Vietnamese children.”
During the signing ceremony, Francois Scheffler, President of Products DSM Nutritional AG in Asia Pacific, commented that Vinamilk will move fast and access the world’s highest standards in the dairy sector thanks to its strategies and the cooperation with the 6 leading nutrition firms.
Meanwhile, a representative of Kanematsu Corporation also added that the corporation and Vinamilk will join hands to develop dairy products for not only babies and children but also adults and older people in the near future.
This certainly bodes well for Vinamilk which plans to invest and spread its wings further into overseas markets in the future.
Vinamilk has also officially announced during the signing ceremony that it is also the first in Asia to win the Purity Award in the US for its infant formula brands. This is a rigorous award that evaluates the purity, safety, and transparency of food, especially for children. The Purity Award was announced by the US non-profit organization Clean Label Project (CLP) for all Vinamilk’s baby formula products, including Optimum Gold, YokoGold, ColosGold, Pedia Kenji, Dielac Grow Plus, Dielac Alpha, and Dielac Alpha Gold.
