Japan has become the key export market for processed chicken meat from C.P. Vietnam, a subsidiary owned by Thailand’s Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CPF).
C.P. Vietnam started to export its first batch of processed chicken meat in 2020, and started exporting to Japan only in October 2022.
In 2023, sales of C.P. Vietnam’s CPV Food Binh Phuoc tripled year on year, mostly attributed to growth from the Japanese market. Other major export markets include Hong Kong, Laos, and Cambodia.
In 2024, CPV Food Binh Phuoc aims to raise its export revenue to US$200 million annually and expand its markets to Europe, Americas, and the Middle East.
