Innovfood Pte Ltd which launched Nutrixin Appeel (apple variant) last year, has now relaunched its Nutrixin in different but more informative packaging, and in 3 different variants namely apple, grape and orange.
The main reason for the revamp, according to Dr Loke Wai Mun, Innovfood’s Director and Founder, was to disassociate Nutrixin products from the ordinary fruit/juice beverages. Nutrixin Appeel won several awards amongst which include Singapore Institute of Food Science & Technology Product Innovation Award, and the prestigious ASEAN Food Award. Dr Loke said, “We received feedbacks from our customers that they confuse our nutraceutical beverage with ordinary apple juices. In order to enable our potential customers to better understand our products, we decide to re-work our branding and labels. The website has also been entirely re-designed to better communicate the uniqueness of our nutraceutical products.”
Each of the 3 peel variants offers benefits to specific domains: the apple peel essence for immunity and cardiovascular boosting; the orange peel essence for digestive health boosting; and the grape peel essence for metabolic health boosting.
The common unique feature of Nutrixin is the health-boosting polyphenols. Numerous clinical and scientific studies have affirmed the health benefits of consuming polyphenols. Yet, there is virtually no commercial products specifically to deliver the optimal amounts of polyphenols to the general consumers. Dr Loke asserted that the amounts of polyphenols present in its products are measured and validated by accredited laboratories. Nutrixin strives to deliver the optimal amounts of polyphenols to consumers in the least-fuss manners.
Currently, Nutrixin is selling at S$9 (US$6.70) per bottle and can be bought at its own ecommerce portal Nutrixin.sg. Dr Loke hopes to garner sufficient brand awareness for Nutrixin peel essence drinks before putting them on selected retail shelves such as healthcare, private clinics and pharmacy stores like Watsons and Guardian. Nutrixin is also targeting cafes and restaurants that serve health conscious affluent consumers. In the future, there are also plans to venture into overseas markets like Taiwan and Hong Kong.
Innovfood also has a series of new products in the pipeline. It is working with Enterprise Singapore to design and develop a new cocoa beverage product that focuses on its unique cocoa polyphenols, which should be ready for launch by end 2020. Another innovative product include a collagen beverage product which is still in the development phase.
