Earlier this year, the Huangshan Ecology and Environment Bureau had published a report that Huangshan Baiyi Beverages Co., Ltd. (Baiyi Beverages) is undertaking a major functional drink project.
This project has a total investment of Rmb 250 million (US$38.69 million) and will be located at the New Industrial Park, Huangshan Economic Development Zone. The facility will have a floor area of approximately 40,000 sq.metres.
The new facility will be able to produce 200,000 tonnes/annum of lactobacillus tea, juice and milk drinks. The site will also produce vitamin and plant-protein drinks on a smaller scale.
