Leading integrated agro-industrial and food company in Thailand, Betagro PCL has recently unveiled 4 strategic plans to meet domestic demand and the growth of international markets.
Its CEO Vasit Taepaisitphongse noted that the company’s 2023 strategic plan has incorporated all major drivers to achieving the corporate objectives and achieve its target sales growth of 5-10%, while also reinforcing its goal of becoming a leading global food brand for sustainable life.
Betagro has formulated 4 strategies to drive its business and these include (1) investing in new production plants and upgrade existing facilities to accommodate to rising sales; (2) introducing new products within the food and protein-based market segment, comprising chicken and swine products; (3) expanding the ready-to-cook and ready-to-eat foods segment to support the lifestyle of modern consumers; (4) utilising BTG’s Research and Development Centres to develop premium products.
These development centres include the Food Innovation Centre for the food and protein business which covers the S-Pure brand of super-premium meat products. For the Pet business, it is covered by the Pet Innovation Centre (PIC) which dedicates to developing premium pet food products. Meanwhile, its Agro Innovation Centre (AIC) is tasked to develop premium-grade feed for swine, cattle and layers to meet the increasing demand for premium products.
Betagro aims to expand its international business by investing in Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar with the establishment of new factories and improving the existing facilities for better efficiency.
