On 26 January, VEGA, a German measurement sensor technology manufacturer, has inaugurated its new office in Indonesia at CIBIS Park near South Jakarta.
The opening of the new site marks a new chapter in the company’s journey as it seeks further growth in the rapidly growing Indonesian market. There is growing opportunity in this market along with the implementation and development of Industry 4.0 which focuses on the utilisation of digital technology in the manufacturing and production processes, including in the food and beverage related industries.
Managing Director of PT Vega Instruments Indonesia, Rio Kusumahadi said that VEGA controls the global market share in the field of measurement technology. “Especially for the Indonesian market, its growth is projected to multiply by 10 times when compared to today in the next 10 years.”
Mr Kusumahadi added that VEGA’s level measurement sensor is capable of being integrated with hardware and software, so that it can support the control process in industrial operations. “This innovative solution can be relied upon to help improve operational efficiency, productivity and safety.”
In general, the industries dominated by VEGA include the chemical, energy, and mining sectors. However, in Indonesia, VEGA is more dominant in terms of demand in the general industries such as food and beverages.
